I’m Kathryn McNeill, a Certifed Zero Balancer and qualified massage therapist.

Massage and Zero Balancing are both wonderfully relaxing and rejuvenating therapies that use focused touch to bring greater freedom and clarity to the body and mind. They can be helpful for a range of issues, including:

  • relief of back, neck and shoulder pain and tension
  • lower back pain, sciatica and pelvic pain
  • coping with stress
  • postural imbalances
  • support through life changes
  • personal development
  • a chance to deeply relax in a calm and supportive space

Zero Balancing is a gentle, deeply relaxing form of bodywork which releases tension in and around the joints to bring the whole skeleton into better alignment. It has a wide range of health benefits, and feels great to receive.

A Zero Balancing session can leave you feeling like you’ve pushed the reset button. You might feel as if the everyday worries and stresses don’t matter as much anymore. Over time you might even notice that your habitual way of reacting to things has changed, and you feel more able to deal with life’s challenges. Read more

I’ve found receiving Zero Balancing with Kathryn a great antidote to modern city life. She has a calm, reassuring and grounded presence – no doubt partly from her background and training in  tai chi and the martial arts. After each session i feel much more in my centre, aligned, somehow refreshed and yes, rebalanced.
The sessions themselves are really enjoyable – going into a relaxed sort of meditative state. For years I have had quite a stiff neck which limits its free range of movement. After a few sessions of ZB this has now largely cleared and my neck feels so different, free of the tension it had.
I can particularly recommend going to see Kathryn if you are a bit all over the place and not very centred, a easy state to get into in our culture.

Massage is a great way to maintain and improve your health. It’s really effective in relieving muscular tension and reducing stress. Taking time out for yourself sometimes isn’t a priority in our busy lives, but the benefits of having more energy, less tension and feeling more comfortable in your body make it so worthwhile. I often use a combination of massage and Zero Balancing, particularly if there are deeper underlying physical issues or if you are looking to make more permanent changes. Read more
